NSI is a state-registered nonprofit that was established in 2017. The organization operates Trenches 2 Treatment, an outreach program that provides free meals, showers, laundry, naloxone, and case management to unsheltered people in Knoxville.

Our Story

Next Step Initiative was founded in 2017 by two sisters, Addie Arbach and Rebecca Parr, with a mission to provide unconditional love and acceptance to people who use drugs. They believe that the road to healing begins with positive affirmations, free hugs, full bellies, and providing resources to meet their own goals.

Next Step Initiative focuses on serving marginalized populations and promoting harm reduction practices to ensure that all people who use drugs are safe and loved.
