Welcome to NSI where it's our mission to provide a comprehensive coalition approach for engagement with people whose lives have been affected by poverty, trauma, and addiction. Our purpose is one of connection, hope, recovery, and education in order to better equip individuals and active substance users with support and personal power not only for coping, but also for thriving.  We achieve connection through initial and progressive assessment, access to resources, use of art, mindfulness training, music, poetry, dialogue, and whatever interactions we find useful to surround individuals with compassion and opportunity for well-being, harm reduction, greater stabilization for a healthy and happy life style.

INHSU 2024

NSI is thrilled to have been invited to present at the International Network on Health and Hepatitis in Substance Users in October 2024. Our presentation will focus on overcoming barriers in serving our clients, and we look forward to sharing insights and experiences with the attendees. Thank you for this opportunity.

Gilead COMPASS 

NSI is proud to announce its participation in the Gilead COMPASS Initiative through the University of Houston's LEARN Harm Reduction program. This partnership will allow us to further our commitment to addressing HIV/AIDS in Southern States. We are excited to work alongside other organizations to make a positive impact in our community.

Community Health Worker Training Program of Tennessee

The NSI Director is proud to be participating in The Community Health Worker Training Program of (CHWTPT), a partnership between VUSN, the Tennessee Community Health Worker Association (TNCHWA), and the Rural Health Association of Tennessee. The program aims to increase the number and improve the quality of certified community health workers (CHWs) working in.
